This flute is made of pecan for the body with inlays of walnut and mesquite along with a Malachite stone. I poured my heart out into this flute in all the detail work, including the inlays and the handcarved feather blocks.
This is the lowest tone flute I have made thus far. With that, this flute is heavy and the distance between finger holes is a bit of a stretch for some players., so buyers should be aware that it requires a great deal of wrist strength to support and may not be the right fit for all players. Although this flute does deliver a very beautiful and haunting low tone that is well worth the effort of mastering this instrument.
